Quality & Part Approval
Secure quality where it is created: at the article, in production, at the supplier.
Inspection plans are tied to the article version, measured values come from the tablet in production, and the part approval generates the ready-to-submit PPAP or PPF package from the same data. No Excel, no media discontinuity.
CRQM covers operational quality management end to end and provides the tools according to IATF 16949 and VDA: incoming and outgoing goods inspection with article-specific inspection plans, in-process inspection on the tablet, part approval to PPAP, PPF and AS9102, FMEA, MSA, SPC, complaints per 8D, and controlled instructions with a QM manual. Everything works on the same article versions as the order and production.
Part approval handles four standards in a single process: standard initial sample inspection report, PPAP per AIAG with levels 1–5, PPF/EMPB per VDA Volume 2 and AS9102 for aerospace. Characteristics are ballooned on the drawing, measured values entered in the grid or imported via CSV, and Cpk and Ppk calculated from the production data of the sample order. The result is the complete submission package as one PDF.
Inspection equipment, FMEA and instructions are not isolated: overdue calibrations are flagged wherever the gauge is selected, linked FMEAs appear in the inspection lot, and inspection instructions are available directly in the inspection context.

Drawing ballooning with identical output
Balloons are placed by clicking on the PDF drawing; their colour follows the inspection result. Editor and PDF reports (measurement report, AS9102 Form 3) show the same balloons pixel for pixel.

The checklist builds itself automatically per procedure and level. System-generated evidence counts as complete as soon as the data basis is complete, and loses its OK again if it no longer is.
Cpk/Ppk from real production data
Process capability is calculated from the in-process measurements of the sample order, with pooled standard deviation, one-sided tolerances and a histogram per characteristic.
Dynamic inspection severity
Inspection levels as a fixed quantity or as a percentage of the delivered quantity; the sample size per inspection lot follows automatically without changing the inspection plan.
Calibration status works across modules
The due-date traffic light for gauges appears not only in the monitoring list but wherever a gauge is selected, for example in part approval.
Version-exact inspection history
Inspection plans are archived per article version. Old inspection lots show the plan valid at the time; changes to inspection characteristics are only possible on versions in the "in progress" status.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does CRQM produce the complete PPAP or PPF submission, or do I still need Excel and Word?
The submission is produced entirely in CRQM. The PSW or EMPB cover sheet, evidence forms, measurement report with ballooned drawing pages, gauge list, process flow diagram, control plan and SPC report are generated from the data of the process and output together with the drawing and attachments as one PDF package with separator sheets. The standard forms are fixed bilingual English/German.
How do I make sure that only calibrated gauges are used?
Every measuring system carries an inspection interval; the next date is calculated automatically and shown as a traffic light in the monitoring list. When selecting gauges in part approval, only active measuring systems appear, and overdue calibrations are flagged directly. The responsible inspector sees due calibrations and maintenance with 14 days' notice on their dashboard.
Which standard tools does CRQM provide for audits?
CRQM provides the tools according to IATF 16949 and VDA: PPAP per AIAG, PPF per VDA Volume 2, AS9102, FMEA per VDA or QS-9000 with RPN, MSA per procedure 1 (Cg/Cgk), SPC with Cpk/Ppk, complaints per 8D, controlled inspection, work and procedure instructions with version history, and a QM manual with process landscape. Every status change in part approval is logged with user and timestamp and cannot be altered afterwards.
